The need for long-term transitional housing in north Florida is urgent.

Over 100,000 crimes of domestic violence occur throughout Florida each year with emergency shelter provided to just over 16,000 women and their children. Currently, in the state of Florida there are 42 emergency shelters but only four transitional housing programs. Okaloosa County saw 1,522 cases of domestic assault in 2018 with four spousal murders and 12 forcible rapes. Women in this area, however, have no long-term therapeutic transitional housing options.

We are raising funds to build 20 houses, hire and train staff, develop infrastructure, and develop programs that will serve and support abuse survivors at a critical point in their lives.
